Outta This World Monday!

Our first full day of the week has been filled with sunshine laughter and lots of activity!

This morning campers began the day with cabin activities such as arts and crafts archery and canoeing. Everyone was excited to jump into the action and groups were busy having fun all over camp!

For their second cabin activity everyone headed down to the mud pit for an intense round of tug-o-war! The trailblazer boys must have gotten a good night of sleep because they had a lot of energy and won the whole tournament! Even more fun than tug-o-war however was afterwards when each group got to JUMP into the mud pit. Usually being covered in mud is saved for the spa but today it was for campers! Be sure to check out the photo gallery to see the fun mess! So we don’t give our cleaning crew a heart attack instead of showering off everyone headed down to the lake to jump in and wash off. The water was warm and even campers and staff who weren’t muddy jumped in to swim around.

As if the morning wasn’t already jam packed with fun after changing into clean dry clothes campers got to work tie dying tee shirts and making cabin flags. Last night cabin groups chose team names and made up cheers and today was a chance to work on even more cabin spirit.

After a wonderful lunch of cheeseburgers and fries and some rest time campers headed off to individual activities. Last night campers got to sign up for activities they were most excited for and today divided up with kids from other cabins to swim do archery arts and crafts learn to act in drama play sports canoe and much more.

One of our favorite dinners- BBQ chicken baked potatoes and corn on the cob was much needed after such a busy day! Tonight campers will sing and pray in Praise and Worship and then get ready for the most popular game at camp ANGELS AND DEMONS!

Here’s how angels and demons works- three angels are hidden throughout the cabin area. Campers are divided into two teams and must run to each angel to get a piece of paper signed. They bring the paper back to the start and whichever team has the most paper at the end wins! Here’s the catch- there are also three demons who are running around trying to tag campers. If they get tagged they have to give up their paper and start over! It’s a fast intense game and campers can’t get enough!

After A&D campers will take showers brush their teeth have a bedtime snack do evening devotions with their cabin and then fall asleep smiling after a busy day!
