Wednesday of Superhero Week

What a gorgeous, hot, sunny perfect day at camp! We started the day with polar bear plunge- not nearly as chilly as the last few days, but still a great way to wake up!

Breakfast was delicious – bacon, egg and cheese on english muffins! We started our day with chapel and then headed out and about. It was a hot, sunny and fabulous all day!

Cabins were busy with activities- swimming, sports, archery, and arts and crafts. After that, we headed to the mud pit for a good old fashioned tug-o-war! After we went head to head almost every cabin combination, it was time for the bravest of the brave to jump into the mud! Some walked through, some crawled and some belly flopped! Once everyone was covered in mud, we ran down to the beach to wash off!

Lunch was sloppy joes, jojo potatoes, fruit, and salad bar. And then it was time for some rest time and afternoon activities. The weather was hot and sunny and a perfect summer day! All of the activities were busy- drama was practicing for the talent show, sports was playing basketball, there was archery, arts and crafts (working on bead necklaces), fishers were on the boat casting, kids were swimming and more!

Dinner was baked chicken, scalloped potatoes, veggies and carrot cake for dessert.

Now we have Prime Time (the camp store is open, gaga ball, carpet ball, games, and relaxing), then it’s the night everyone is always waiting for- the dance party! The disco ball is shining, the music will be blasting and the campers and staff will be dancing their hearts out! We still have plenty of energy to burn, so this dance party is needed!

We will end the day with praise and worship in the chapel. High energy songs to celebrate our faith and close out the day!

"CYC is a great place to have fun, make friends, and share your faith. At camp, you can make a new friend almost anywhere like during activities, around the campfire, or in your cabin. If you get homesick, you’ll have nice friends and understanding counselors to help you out. You won’t need to worry about it too much because you’ll be having fun all day. No matter where you are, fishing, swimming, or playing soccer, you’ll be having a great time. CYC rocks!" - Joe
